Terms and Conditions of Use

By reading Trier Exams Tech Desk you agree to the terms on this page. We have tried to keep them short and readable. If something is unclear, ask the desk before relying on it.

1. General information, not professional advice

Everything published here is general information for households and small firms. It is not legal, financial, tax, insurance, medical or mechanical advice, and it is not tailored to your circumstances. Laws, prices, product features and menus change, and they differ between countries and regions.

Before you sign a document, move money, take out a loan or policy, or act on a legal question, speak with a local lawyer or get independent advice from a suitably qualified professional. Before you work on a vehicle or electrical equipment, consider whether a trained technician should do it.

2. Accuracy and dates

We check guides carefully, and each one shows its publication date. Even so, mistakes slip through and information ages. We make no promise that every article is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. When readers point out errors, we correct them and note significant changes on Updates and Fixes.

3. Your own responsibility

You decide whether to follow a guide. Back up data before changing settings, read the manufacturer's instructions for your own equipment, and stop if something behaves unexpectedly. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from the use of information on this site.

4. Other businesses and links

Some articles were written with or contributed by outside businesses, and some link to other websites. We do not control those sites or their products and cannot vouch for them. Any purchase, subscription or agreement you make with a third party is between you and that party. Where an article discusses a streaming or television service, use only services that are properly licensed where you live.

5. Using our text

The articles, page copy and graphics on this site belong to Trier Exams Tech Desk unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to:

  • link to any page;
  • quote a short passage with a link back to its source;
  • print a guide for your own household or office use.

Please do not republish whole articles, present them as your own or use them to train or populate automated content services without written permission.

6. Reasonable use

Do not try to disrupt the site, probe it for weaknesses, or scrape it at a rate that affects other readers.

7. Privacy

How we handle the small amount of data involved in running the site is explained in our Privacy Notes and on Cookie Info.

8. Changes

These terms can be revised as the desk evolves. The version on this page is the one that applies when you read it.
